Acromantis japonica

these little mantids live under the trees, near the foilage and dead leaves.they are quite small, the ones i found were about 15mm in length. I've seen these mantids as egg sacks, but it's the first time i saw their hatched counterparts.
Nice photo! I never see mantids here on the west coast of Canada. I wonder if it is too wet and humid for them here.........In Ontario, Canada where I grew up, I always found and kept mantids as pets.
 
@BCspiderman7 i personally never saw mantids when i was living in BC, surely was pretty surprised there wern't even chinese mantids,which from my knowledge, is widespread throughout north america. apparently there is a species of ground dwelling mantids living in western canada. it might be worth checking out :)
