Where I found it at a park in joe pool lake I found it with a molt can you confirm it's species?I'm new to the hobby I think it's a Texas tan also any way to tell if it's m or f?
Also, as you have the moult (assuming it's intact and you kept it), look between the first pair of book lungs, you should see a flap with what looks like "Mickey Mouse ears" sticking out near both ends. This is what you should be looking at for a female "Aphonopelma anax spermathecae"
 
That's almost guaranteed to be a female. It is the same spider your handling in your avatar right? Male Aphonopelma don't get that large... especially an immature male.
 
This is most certainly Aphonopelma hentzi. It's the only species in Dallas County as well as all other north Texas counties north of Austin and east of the panhandle.
