Well, it's almost certainly a baboon. Sure does look like a P. murinus sling as well - give it a month, it'll grow and you can check.
Who are you buying from that carries such uncertainty with slings? I'd never buy from them again. I mean, you've gotten species that are easy to identify so far, but you could end up with a load of unbreedable spiders eventually...
I bought this one at a repticon. Most of mine have come from exotic pet shows, some from pet stores, and two from a website. Of my 19, six have been labeled wrong. (Two from pet stores, one from a website, and the rest from pet shows.) I'm surprised how many vendors don't know what they're selling. A lot of the time I'll ask questions and they don't know the answers. One guy told me he buys them from a breeder and then sells them, but he didn't know anything about them. I don't like buying online because the only way to guarantee live delivery is to pay overnight shipping which is really expensive. I don't know of any local breeders near me and the pet stores where I live only sell very common spiders and they're usually tiny and overpriced. So, my best option is exotic pet shows. I have found some great T's at shows.
@KezyGLA Questions...yes, are they really as aggressive and fast as I've read? Should I always use tongs with this one? What other precautions should I take?
