C. sp. Sulawesi Black

My little temperamental
Oh, finally an Asian Theraphosidae like our Lord Jesus Christ commend and not the next overestimated, average, boring, shy, run & hide genus Poecilotheria!

Bravo! :)

I got told these come under Phormingochilus carpenteri now. This true? I still have mine labelled C. sp Saluwesi Black

the Genus is weird. They lack the Tibiaapophysen, so they should be put under Phormingochilus. But all are still labeling them as Cyriopagopus. so i dont know.

let me know when you've found something.
I'm very interested about it.

I was told by Jacobi the hobby material has been examined and confirmed as Phormingochilus carpenteri.

From the revision :

"Note: Recent field workers in Sulawesi (e.g.,
Hijmensen, 2007) have found a large greyish-
black arboreal spider and other collectors have
established it in the pet trade using the
moniker “Cyriopagopus sp. Sulawesi” or, less
accurately “Sulawesi Black”. The junior author
has kept and bred this species and we believe
it is, in fact, our Phormingochilus carpenteri sp.
nov."
