Hello everybody, now I ordered this tarantula (two) from backwaterreptiles.com (never buy from them) and they told me they were Burgandy golaith bird-eaters (Theraphosa stirmi). I do not believe that that tarantula is a T. stirmi. Help me figure out what this is. I already have an idea of what it is
Backwater reptiles is trash, that's no Theraphosa sp...looking like they shipped you a Phormictopus cancerides.

Yeeep 100% looks like a P. cancerides to me. Backwaterreptiles is known for being horrible at swindling you out of your money, you're super lucky that the poor thing even arrived alive.

@KezyGLA It was listed as Theraphosa sp.. They have eithet blondi or stirmi available. They called me and said they will send me two T. stirmis (hopefully lol). With my previous order I also received a pinktoe and it had a missing leg. My other Haitian brown also had a half grown back missing leg. Corporations are just baaaad.

@AlbatrossWarrior Yea I feel bad for these poor animals. I gave both of them oversized cages. They are very active and aggressive. The pinktoe I also received with them was in poor condition. Its little cage was like half full of feces and was missing a leg. I feel bad for them.

So I got a question the purchase of tarantulas from backwaterreptiles can be Thur PayPal I noticed . So doesn't PayPal refund the money to the buyer if the disputes is legitimized ? I've heard nothing but great things about PayPal do one would imagine even if backcrapreptiles sends you poor condition , dead , or wrong species you should be secure right ?
