P. Tigrinwessli(spelling..)

Bad pic but she's so fast... She was on my elbow before I could get a decent photo of her in the palm of my hand for size reference...
Don't know if I should call you brave or stupid... But what I will say is that is a beautiful pokie!

Care to tell me why you feel the need to post these pictures? Do you think we're impressed?

I promise you that none of us are.

@AgnO
Not edgy as much as just VERY aginst handling. To go a step further, very aginst handling species with some of the more potent venom like the poecilatheria in the pic.

Its not impressive and not smart. What good comes of it????
The T doesnt like it, no one here likes it, it puts out a VERY bad image for the hobby, and most importantly it sets a VERY bad example for new hobbiests.

I didn't get any feeling the guy is trying to impress nor act as smart. I've seen his other pictures as well. What good comes of it?! "Good" is relative. I'm sure he's well aware of Pokies venom so that's his own choice.

@AgnO Because this behavior is the signature of someone who should not be in the hobby. The argument has been hashed out plenty of times on here - a single highly publicized bite can outlaw tarantulas in the US. It has certainly happened in other countries. This behavior sends the message to new hobbyists that it is acceptable to handle any tarantula, when it simply is not. I am not 100% against all handling like some of my peers, but handling an OW species is always irresponsible.

lol "my behavior" what a dork... You can be afraid of your T's if you'd like. In the words of Tarantulaguy1976, "I handle all my T's, I'm not afraid of any of them. I respect them." Keep crying about it though, maybe you'll have an effect on me.... -.-

@Burchling Rob is a keeper who threw a tarantula on the ground because he got startled. Not someone you should idolize.

It's not about being scared, it's about not being stupid.
