    Okay. I did notice that on another tarantula. I may try to see if the molt is whole enough for me to sex it that way. I appreciate all of your help.

    I've been seeing conflicting ruling and figured this was the case. I don't have a microscope so this is the best I can do. I'll check again next molt.

    Needs stronger magnification. I'm not convinced it's male.

    It's best to wait a week or so after a molt for them to harden fully before trying to sex ventrally, as some clues get easier to distinguish...
