C. schmidti (gold)

No, seriously. You NEED one of these (at least). Freshly molted juvie that has become quite emboldened.

      So gorgeous.

Is this sp. like N. incei, where the sac can have both color forms? Because the breeder said my schmidti was gold, but it's no where near as gold as yours is. Maybe it's just lighting?

I am not so well informed as to state definitively no regarding your question. However, I do not believe they are like N. incei regarding coloration. I think it’s either one or the other for these guys. One of the primary reasons I say this is because I have my eye out trying to possibly snag another one or two of these, and every one I have contacted that advertises C. schmidti without designation stated they were not gold form.

Beautiful. I keep seeing all these tarantulas I want and I have to say, "No! Self control! You want velvet worms more..."
It's not working out so well, ;).

      Thanks for sharing,
