C. fasciatum

I bought this lovely T from the "Deadly Tarantula Girl" at the San Antonio Reptile Expo yesterday. It was an impulse purchase but they were a good price, beautiful, ~2" legspan and NW and I am happy to have added them to my collection. :)
Soooo silky! :embarrassed:

This is such an underrated T. They deserve just as much love as C. Cyaneopubescens.

Both of mine are on lockdown in the underground silk lairs.

Im hoping after their next stretch they will stay more out in the open. :D

@KezyGLA Agreed -- this is a lovely species! It sounds like I should deepen the substrate so that they can burrow. Right now they are in the container I purchased the sling in as it seemed a decent size and just added some sphagnum moss and a water dish, both of which the sling has been trying to create some sort of architecture or sculpture with! :pompous:

Heheh yeah they are funny when young. You should be alright by providing a hide for them to use when stressed.

If the substrate is not deep then they will web like crazy. It looks awesome!
