Beetle identification

Could anyone identify this species of beetle for me? I found it in Colorado near the flatirons under a rock. There were actually 2 of them but one flew away. Also could you give me any facts or care on this species? What does it eat? How should I care for it? To me it looks like pasimachus sublaevis
Pasimachus sp.

These beetles do wonderfully in captivity! They're predatory, and the make really great tunnel systems under the substrate. Give them a deep substrate so they can burrow. They'll eat mealworms, crickets, roaches, etc. I've kept P. viridans, and P. enlongatus myself :)

@Andy00 I can't, but I'm sure some people can. I believe sexing involves looking closely at the tarsi and looking for hairs or something like that.

I dropped a mealworm in with it and left it in the dark for an hour and came back to the mealworm chopped in half with the other half in its mouth :) beautiful beetle! I'll rehouse it in a good enclosure tomorrow. It seems to like cork bark, it's hiding in some right now. Thanks for the info! How often do you think I should feed it? A mealworm or 2 a week is my guess

You might be able to tell its sex by looking at its head proportions. If the jaws are more protruding on the sides and seem to be longer than the head, then it may be a male. You have to look up some pictures if you really want to understand though.

From this angle it looks to be a female, but I might be wrong.
