Cute! I would caution against handling slings as they are usually more skittish (of course some species and individuals are always so) and being small and fast can easily escape and then be difficult to find. At least be sure that you are in a closed room with minimal hiding places (bathrooms are often good for this). I had an E. murinus sling escape in the bedroom and it took some time and thorough methodical searching before finding them.
whenever i open up my avic versicolor sling enclosure for maintenance s/he manages to get out somehow and i my heart is bumping hard until i get it back, so be careful
@letranger s/he is pretty good about being still when I open her cage to mist or feed. She is pretty fast and the hardest part about getting her back in her cage is that she usually never wants too. She just turns around and walks right back up my pencil/hand lol
@ErinM31 I usually handle on my bed after I get the sheets ando everything made. That way there is a lot of service for s/he to cover and I have ample time to catch her. I probably won't handle as much when s/he is older depending on temperament but it's so hard to resist when they're so small haha
beautiful sling. i've had a new A. versicolor sling for about a month now and I already know what you're talking about. it's only a half inch and overtime i opened its little vial it would eventually come out and crawl all over me and make my heart race because I i'm trying to get it back in with out injuring it and it's darting everywhere.
