Aphonopelma steindachneri

formerly Aphonopelma reversum
They are dark black after a fresh molt, then eventually become a chocolate brown color. This specimen was recently molted, which imparted a blueish tinge.
 
@clive 82 wild caught as a small juvenile, they're not common tarantulas, they tend to favor steep hillsides and can be very difficult to locate due to their cryptic burrows
 
So for i got one mature female from Austin Spears. I am now ISO of mature or subadult males.
