This one didn't like it's weekly misting (I never mist the T dorectly, just the substrate) and decided to go for a walk on my arm. I love how their little feet tickle.
Be cautious with these guys and misting. All they really need is a water dish. It is also imperative that they have adequate ventilation. Just letting you know if you weren't already aware.
@CyclingSam thanks they have a ton of ventilation. I keep a water cap in the enclosure and mist one corner of the substrate weekly with like 2 pumps of spray. Any condensation that forms on the enclosure walls is gone within a day.
Is that a C.versicolor?its nice that you get to hold it like that, mine, who is still at around 1.5-2cm mark always act so hyped up everytime there is movement in its vial(ie blowing in the vent holes).
i actually have to be really really REALLY careful when opening the lid as sudden movement will make him go crazy.
@BrockiePelma yup it's a versi. I try not to hold them but this one came out of its tank and rather than have it jump to the floor I let it walk on my hand. So far both my slings have been pretty calm but I've seen how fast they can move when they're startled so I try not to take any chances
@BrockiePelma of course it's a versi, there's no mistaking those colours and patterns. It's a beautiful spider, from sling to adult the colour changes are amazing.
