A. avicularia

Second feeding in two days since hardening from molting. I noticed it in a hunting stance and said "Why are you doing that?" Took the cricket instantly.
sometimes instincts overwhelm common sense. ;) its best to give at least 3 days for very young spiders, a week for juvis and young subsdults, and 2 weeks to a month for the full grown adults.
nice shot though, love the eyes.

Is he mature? I don't see pink toed pedipalps nor red setae but they are angled inward and the back half is out of focus.

@CEC i hope not, he's barely 3 inches. And i say "he" but really i have no idea. Just got that vibe. It isnt the best picture, but i just took a good one from the rear and above thats really clear. Im going to post it if youd like to examine.

I can tell in the other pic he's not mature yet. ;) The easiest way to tell for beginners (and in pics) is his pedipalps will lose the pink toes whereas females and immature males will always have pink toed pedipalps that match the legs.
