I don't see this one as often as some of my other Ts but.... Oh wow when I do.
@EulersK I remember you telling me I'd enjoy this species when I got it at the show in SC. You were not wrong an she has quickly became a favorite. :D

@Trenor Told ya :D And it looks like she has a primarily webbing setup, yeah? The younger of my two adult females recently started burrowing like mad, unfortunately.

@EulersK The enclosure is 9 inches deep. I have 5 inches of substrate and left 4 inches open with lots of web points. She made a deep burrow to the bottom and then widened it out. Right after that she webbed up most of the above ground making that web funnel centered on the burrow entrance. She does come out a decent amount but not nearly as often as I like. Her colors are impressive.

@Trenor If you've got the ventilation to support it, try drastically increasing the humidity every now and then - essentially as if it had rained. Soak the substrate and they come out to hunt. Just a theory, but I think that the "rain" triggers a hunting response as prey tends to emerge after rainfall.

Even beyond that, they stay more active the more humid it is. I actually keep these significantly more humid than even a T. stirmi. Only the likes of H. gigas and P. muticus get more moisture.
