no
my understanding of bug color is this:
it's not pigments reflecting pieces of light, but the actual shape of the surface of the cuticle refracts light... i think

Thinking maybe you are a snake person based on the question. If that's the case you may be interested to know that there seem to be insular Ts much as there are boids and such :)

there are some bacterias or something that have a sort of bleaching effect on cuticle... and some fungi that can turn it black...

that's as close to hyper and hypo as we can get =P

coo thanks and yea im a snake person look at my site :)
Snake person here as well... we've been rather well behaved thus far and the count is only at 10. Perhaps it would be more if several of them weren't rescue and rehab... but c'est la vie... someone has to take care of them (and I'm the weak one with sucker stamped on my forhead) LOL
I'll try to get a good look at your site in a bit and give you some feedback.

PS Welcome to the boards :)

You have to admit, an all white T would be very beautiful, but honestly I have never heard of such a thing before.

There are color morphs of spiders, and there are threads about it here, too.
So if you are interested, go and find them... ;P

I just want to mention the pic of a white Cyriopagopus schiodtei sling (iirc a picture from S. Huber)...
There are also color morphs of other invertebrates.
