Mello-Leitão is the person who described the species, not the location the spider was found.

But, this is irrelevant to the spider you have anyway.

The spider you have, what we call Pamphobeteus sp. "platyomma" is a presumably undescribed species belonging to the genus Pamphobeteus.

This is NOT the spider described as P. platyomma which was then transfered to Vitalius... that is not a valid name anymore anyway (Nomina dubia).

V. wacketi is a different spider and a valid species.

Just to add to Eric's words.
If I remeber correct Rogerio Bertani told into www comunication after his great work on this theraphosid group (Vitalius and related genera) that he suppose this species to be Pamphobeteus species, but it need more examination to be sure.
So, if one day it is change it's genus name we should not be surprised.

on the internet, anyone can lable any photo as he wishes – correct or not! There is no peer review for correct labels!
e.g. search for "haplopelma minax" and you'll find plenty of photos of Ornithoctonus aureotibialis.

And you have to differentiate the scientific world and changes in the scientific world for which rules and regulations do exist (International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, ICZN) and names/labels in the pet trade - often two completely different worlds!
